wind and solar farms throughout North America.
One of our recent projects is the White River
Solar Farm in Alpugh, Ca.
White River is a 20 MW,
photovoltaic solar plant capable of producing enough electricity to power over
10,000 homes. The facility was designed,
built, and installed by our client Quanta Power Generation. To monitor and maximize the power output from
White River, Quanta specified and installed three of our Solar Monitoring
Weather Stations.

Each weather station monitors solar
radiation directed horizontally to the plane of the earth and incident upon the
plane of the solar panels. The weather stations
also monitor wind speed and direction, ambient temperature, relative humidity,
barometric pressure, and rain. The
information from the weather stations is transmitted wirelessly to a control
center and used to maximize the power output from the plant.
