 Met One Instruments, Inc. manufactures a variety of particulate monitors for indoor/controlled environments and for outdoor ambient air.  Although we diligently ask the inquirer about the application, we don't always get the correct answer.  Misunderstood examples are our Aerocet models 531 and 831 Mass Monitors.  These models are used as indoor or controlled environment monitors.  They should not be used to monitor ambient air.  We often hear it does not correlate to the BAM 1020 or E-BAM.  They may be adjusted using the K-Factor, however, these are not recommended ambient air monitors.  Those wanting to monitor outdoors, please consider the BAM 1020 for regulatory requirements or the portable E-BAM and/or E-Sampler.
